The CarBahn ST1 S63 engine is a high-performance replacement designed for BMW M5, M6, X5M, and X6M models, serving as a robust alternative to an OEM factory remanufactured engine. It is engineered to handle significant power outputs and is rated for up to 850 lb-ft of torque, making it suitable for medium-output tunes. This engine is built with premium racing components, including forged Carrillo connecting rods, CP forged pistons, high-performance valve springs, and a high-performance head gasket, ensuring enhanced durability. This high-performance engine includes a complete rebuild, featuring a valve job, new timing chains, chain guides, tensioners, water pump, thermostat, bearings, seals, and gaskets. The CarBahn S63 engine features a modified compression ratio of 0.5 less than stock, which optimizes performance with increased boost by preventing excessive ignition timing retardation and reducing catalyst inlet temperatures. This modification also contributes to improved drivability on pump gas for emissions-legal street cars. With a legacy rooted in Steve Dinan's 46 years of racing and engine-building experience, including multiple championships, the CarBahn S63 engine benefits from the same expertise used in professional racing applications. All CarBahn engines come with a two-year warranty, underscoring the commitment to quality and performance.
