Overview

The Tapout Tuning Stage 1 Low Pressure Fuel Pump (LPFP) is designed for the ATS-V. It increases fuel flow by 23% to 435 lph with no back pressure, or 265 lph at 70 psi. This pump supports E0 to E85 up to 20 psi with OEM turbos and E0 to E70 with 25 psi on OEM turbos.

The Tapout Tuning Stage 1 Low Pressure Fuel Pump (LPFP) is a direct replacement for the ATS-V, built using a new GM ZL1 pump assembly modified to fit the ATS-V fuel tank. This pump significantly increases fuel flow compared to the OEM unit (265 lph @70 psi vs. 215 lph @70 psi), supporting up to 550 whp on gasoline. The Stage 1 LPFP is E85 compatible and can support E0 to E85 at up to 20 psi with OEM turbos, and E0 to E70 at 25 psi with OEM turbos. No special tuning is required for installation. The unit includes the correct length pickup tube for proper scavenging within the ATS-V fuel tank. Installation requires lifting the car, dropping the exhaust and driveshaft, and removing the gas tank to replace the fuel system bucket. The process typically takes a few hours with assistance. While E85 compatible, prolonged use at its limit can shorten the pump's lifespan. For those seeking to run higher ethanol content or boost levels with larger turbos, an upgrade to a Stage 2 LPFP or methanol injection may be necessary.
