Stage 1 Oil Catch Can Kit

The Damond Motorsports Oil Catch Can Kit Stage 1 is engineered to optimize the positive crankcase ventilation system by capturing blow-by oils and condensed crankcase gases. These contaminants are routed to the oil catch can (OCC) instead of returning to the intake manifold, leading to a cleaner intake tract, improved combustion, and potentially better fuel economy and power. This kit is tailored for a hassle-free installation on your Mazdaspeed3. An oil scraper is integrated into the bottom layer, forcing blow-by directly onto it. The air is then channeled through additional baffle plates before exiting, ensuring effective separation. The kit includes a quick-opening, high-flowing check valve that operates one-way to prevent boost from entering the crankcase through the OEM PCV valve. A high-flowing drain valve is incorporated for easy fluid removal. The kit comes with all necessary components, including pre-cut oil and vacuum-resistant hoses (available in black, blue, or red), a location-specific bracket, mounting hardware, slim stainless steel hose clamps, and zip ties. Mounting Location 1 is below the factory intake/short-ram intakes, allowing space for intercooler piping and easy access to the drain valve. However, this location will NOT fit with some cold-air intakes. Mounting Location 2 is on the transmission, underneath the factory intake/short-ram intakes, designed to accommodate cold air intakes but may conflict with front-mount intercooler piping and will NOT fit with some FMIC kits. Optional VTA (vent-to-atmosphere) kits are available and recommended for high boost applications.
