Stage 1 Performance Software

The Turner Stage 1 S85 Performance Software is a reflash for the E60 M5, E63 M6 coupe, and E64 M6 cabrio, designed to enhance engine performance. This tune optimizes the S85 V10 engine by reprogramming fuel and timing maps for both part and wide-open throttle, revising torque settings and knock control, and improving the VANOS variable valve timing system. It also provides smoother and faster pedal response and eliminates the top speed limiter. Customers can choose between 91 or 93 octane tuning. While advertised gains are based on 93 octane, the 91 octane version offers slightly less horsepower due to reduced timing. The software offers two rev limit options: a stock 8,250 RPM or a raised 8,500 RPM limit. The higher rev limit allows drivers to stay in gear longer, but it is recommended for brief periods only, and increased engine maintenance, including frequent oil changes and analysis, is strongly advised. The software is built upon a specific version of stock BMW software, which itself is an improvement over older versions. Turner Motorsport has extensive experience with S85 tuning, developing software for street, track, and high-performance engine builds. The software is installed using the included Turner flashing OBD tool, which connects to a laptop running Windows XP/Vista/7/8/10. The tool also functions as a fault code scanner for reading and resetting diagnostic trouble codes and adaptations. This product is not for sale or use in the state of California on any pollution-controlled vehicle.
