Key components of the kit include custom-designed JHM mounting brackets made from reinforced steel, laser-cut and powder-coated for durability. The system incorporates a 6-rib pulley upgrade with an automatic tensioner kit, including JHM-specific pulleys for the alternator, crankshaft, and supercharger, which generates 7 to 9 pounds of boost. Installation of this kit is a complex process with an average time of 12-14 hours. It requires minor clearancing to the vehicle's passenger side frame rail, bumper support bar, and core support. A pre-clearanced and reinforced passenger side bumper support bracket is included to facilitate installation. The kit also includes JHM-tuned ECU calibration, a MAF extension, and specific spark plugs with a recommended replacement interval of 25K-30K miles. Additionally, it is strongly recommended to perform a carbon cleaning and consider replacing coil packs and injectors, especially on vehicles over 60,000 miles, due to the known potential for failure and carbon buildup on FSI engines. Owners with Adaptive Cruise Control will need to relocate or delete the system, and a relocation bracket can be provided upon request.
