Stage 1 Suspension System

The Icon Vehicle Dynamics Stage 1 suspension system is engineered for maximum performance for the 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma 4WD. The primary focus of ICON engineers is to enhance wheel travel and damping ability, resulting in superior vehicle control and ride quality across various terrains. This Stage 1 kit features vehicle-specific tuned 2.5" front coilover shocks with internal reservoirs for better cooling, paired with ICON-engineered Eibach coil springs for an improved feel throughout the suspension's range of travel. These adjustable coilovers allow for 0-2.75" of front lift, enabling the fitment of larger and more aggressive wheel and tire combinations. The kit also includes ICON 2.0 Aluminum Series monotube rear shocks, which are valved specifically for the Tacoma to balance performance front-to-rear. Construction highlights include 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum CNC machined components, a corrosion-resistant CAD plated coilover shock body with a 7/8" shaft, and FK Rod End bearings for durability and minimal deflection. The system is a bolt-on application, requiring no cutting or welding for installation. Technical notes indicate that OEM wheels and tires fitment is confirmed. Recommended aftermarket wheel fitment includes ICON Alloys in 17x8.5 with 4.75" backspace/0mm offset, 18x9 with 5.00" backspace/0mm offset, and 20x9 with 5.00" backspace/0mm offset. The recommended aftermarket tire size is 33" x 11.50", though larger tires may fit with fender trimming and modifications. An optional 700Lb/In Expedition Coil is available for heavier vehicles. For 2017-2023 Tacoma TRD Pro models, the lift height range is 0-1.25" over stock. The rear shocks are compatible with 0-2" of rear lift. Important installation considerations include that trimming is required for the recommended tire size. The Bump Stop Spacer Kit 51045 can be installed for an additional 0.25" of preload. Crucially, this installation requires recalibration of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) after installation. This system will not fit 2WD Tacoma models with 5-lug studs.
