Description

Years of design and testing have culminated in the CTS Turbo BFI MK5/MK6 Stage 1 Transmission Mount, a complete replacement for the stock unit in MK5/6 6-speed manual and DSG vehicles. This mount directly addresses the limitations of the factory soft rubber bushing, which can collapse over time, negatively impacting drivability and wasting horsepower. The BFI Stage 1 mount features a proprietary bushing and bracket design utilizing 65a durometer urethane bushings. This construction maximizes bushing area to minimize vibration while still providing improved control over motor movement. It is recommended for most Mk5/Mk6 4-cylinder and 5-cylinder vehicles seeking a balance between performance enhancement and manageable cabin vibrations. For those prioritizing performance over comfort, a Stage 2 mount with 85a durometer bushings is available for high-horsepower applications and track use.
