The Flyin' Miata Stage 1 turbo system is a CARB emissions legal turbo setup designed for the 1.8L Miata, offering an easy installation of safe and durable power. This system is ideal for drivers looking for significant horsepower gains without emissions complications, with potential for further upgrades on track-focused vehicles. The redesigned manifold features staggered runner diameters for consistent exhaust pulse timing, promoting faster spool and higher power potential. It is Cerakoted in C-7900 Glacier Titanium, rated for 1,800°F, and is over 2.5 lbs lighter than previous designs. The included GT2560R turbo is well-matched to the Miata engine for optimal boost response. An intercooler with a special thermal property helps maintain horsepower under demanding conditions. Fuel management is handled by the Voodoo Box, which modifies the signal under boost to deliver more fuel via stock injectors, eliminating the need for tuning, high-pressure fuel pumps, or upgraded fuel lines. The car will behave stock at idle and cruise. The kit is comprehensive, including all necessary hardware and parts. It is NOT compatible with complete MSM vehicles and will NOT function correctly. * While technically compatible with stock ECUs and automatic transmissions, the downpipe will require modification to clear the automatic bellhousing, and other drivability issues may arise; installation on automatic cars is not recommended. * For 1999-2000 cars with California emissions (dual catalytic converters), this kit may invalidate the EO due to the removal of the first cat. * If you are using an FM coolant reroute, select the corresponding option during purchase. Tools such as a 37/64 drill bit and 3/8" NPT tap are required for oil drain installation.
