Stage 1 Turbo System w/ Garrett GT2860RS Turbocharger

Designed with durability and ease of installation in mind, this system aims to deliver smooth power delivery and a factory-like feel. The kit features a Garrett GT2860RS turbocharger, which at 8 psi of boost, produces around 220 wheel horsepower on the stock 2.0L engine. Increasing boost to 11 psi can yield approximately 240 wheel horsepower. Key components include a cast turbine outlet with a continuously increasing cross-sectional area for good flow and clearance, terminating in a 4" V-band connection. The system retains the stock catalytic converter, with options for a complete downpipe including a new factory cat or a fitting to weld to your existing converter; both are emissions legal. Installation is facilitated by single-piece formed hoses and custom hard lines for a direct connection to stock components. The cooling system design has been optimized for efficiency. High-heat components like the manifold, turbine outlet, airbox, and intercooler pipes are Cerakoted, and the intercooler features a thermal dispersion coating for maximum cooling and durability. A custom turbo blanket protects nearby brake lines and the valve cover from heat. The stock battery is retained within a custom battery box, and the air intake is a true cold air design. Important fitment notes include the system not fitting Right-Hand Drive (RHD) cars. The relocated washer bottle will only fit the standard US-spec bottle (Mazda part NE51-67-481A); larger bottles used in some other countries will not fit. For 2006-2008 models and automatic transmissions, an 8 psi boost limit is recommended due to cast engine internals. While tested on 2.0L engines, the fitment on 2.5L engines has not been tested and a tune is not currently available for that application. CARB EO #D-601-6.
