The Pure Turbos Stage 1 turbocharger kit is engineered for the BMW 3.0L N54 twin-turbocharged inline-6 engine. This introductory upgrade or replacement turbo utilizes the original OEM housings, ensuring a direct bolt-on installation with a stealthy, stock appearance. It incorporates a custom billet compressor wheel, an upgraded thrust bearing, a modified turbine system, and improved oil seals for enhanced performance and durability. It is compatible with stock or 2-inch inlet pipes. For fitment on 135i, 535i, and Z4 models, the 335i chargepipe and rear coolant line (part number 11537558902) are required. It is crucial to prime the turbo with engine oil before running the engine. A refundable core deposit applies, with options to pay upfront and return your old turbo within 60 days for a refund, or to send your turbo in first for upgrading to avoid the deposit. The Pure Stage 1 turbo kit is capable of supporting over 450 wheel horsepower, though results vary based on fuel and supporting modifications. While custom tuning is not strictly required for operation, it is highly recommended to unlock the turbo's full potential and ensure engine safety. The product is intended for off-road use only and may not be legal for installation or use in California or any state adopting CARB regulations. Customers are responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws. A limited 1-year/unlimited mile warranty is included.
