The Snow Performance Stage 2 Boost Cooler is a water-methanol injection system engineered exclusively for the 2015+ Subaru WRX models (excluding STI). This system enhances performance by increasing the octane of your pump gas by up to 25 points, effectively transforming it into 116 octane quality fuel. By providing a cooler, denser air charge, it allows for safer execution of increased boost and timing, leading to significant power gains. Key features include a custom water-methanol injection throttle body spacer plate, braided stainless steel lines, and 100% methanol-resistant black hard-anodized metal fittings. The system is Made in the USA and utilizes an industry-leading 300 PSI UHO (Ultra High Output) pump for superior pressure compared to competitors. The Stage 2 kit also includes proprietary "Hypersonic" nozzles for optimal atomization. Control is managed by the progressive VC-50 controller, an ISO 9001 manufactured unit that intelligently adjusts water-methanol injection proportionally to boost pressure. This ensures precise delivery for consistent cooling and performance benefits across the engine's operating range, improving drivability. The VC-50 unit cleverly integrates a 52mm boost gauge with the water-methanol controller functions. Its 7-color OLED screen offers customizable display options (Blue, White, Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple, Green) and shows critical information such as boost pressure, injection percentage, low fluid level, secondary nozzle activation, a prime button, and up to four fault codes, including clogged line, broken line, pump, or solenoid errors.
