These camshafts are intended for performance applications, as more aggressive profiles can negatively impact low-RPM drivability. The Stage 2 profile offers a balance for street cars with modifications and turbochargers.

The Brian Crower 220188-STAGE2 is a Stage 2 camshaft engineered to modify your vehicle's powerband for increased mid-range and top-end performance. When selecting camshafts, it's crucial to consider your driving habits and intended use. While Stage 3 and Stage 4 camshafts offer massive top-end power, they can make low-speed driving, such as in stop-and-go traffic, less enjoyable. The Stage 2 profile provides a significant power boost while remaining relatively manageable for street-driven vehicles, especially those equipped with modifications and a turbocharger. These Brian Crower camshafts are specifically designed for the 2003-2005 Dodge Neon SRT-4 and the 2001-2010 Chrysler PT Cruiser. For 2001-2002 non-turbo PT Cruiser models, the cam magnet will require a 90-degree rotation for installation. A critical installation note: You must use Brian Crower valve springs with these camshafts. Failure to do so can lead to the factory valve springs failing, which can result in catastrophic engine damage if valves contact pistons. It is highly recommended to purchase compatible performance valve springs to ensure engine safety and longevity.
