The Colt Cams Stage 2 Camshaft (C.852.H) is a performance upgrade for 1994-2003 Ford 7.3L Powerstroke engines. This camshaft is precision-engineered from a brand-new steel billet, offering enhanced durability and performance over stock components. It is designed as a straight drop-in installation, meaning no special modifications or core returns are typically required. This Stage 2 grind features specific lift and duration figures: Intake Duration at 0.050 is 192 degrees with a lift of .430 inches, and Exhaust Duration at 0.050 is 200 degrees with a lift of .433 inches. The lobe separation is set at 106 degrees. These specifications are designed to improve the engine's breathing by facilitating better exhaust gas evacuation and fresh air intake, which can lead to reduced EGTs, increased horsepower, and improved throttle response across the entire RPM range, supporting operation up to 5,000 RPM. While designed as a direct fit, it is always recommended to check for piston-to-valve clearance before startup due to potential variations in engine components such as planed heads or decked blocks.
