Stage 2 Camshaft for Gen V 5.3L L83

The Texas Speed & Performance L83V2-Stg2 is an upgraded Version 2 Stage 2 camshaft designed specifically for Gen V 5.3L L83 engines. By redesigning the camshaft lobes, this unit achieves higher power output than its predecessor while simultaneously reducing total lift, which results in quieter valvetrain operation and improved durability for the valve springs. This camshaft features specs of 218/230 duration, .610"/.610" lift, a 113 LSA, and a 109 ICL with a 10% fuel lobe, providing an operating range of 1600-6400 RPM. Under dyno testing with headers and a cold air intake, this package delivered an increase of 69 HP and 24 ft-lbs of torque at the crank. Proper operation of this component necessitates specific hardware and setup changes. It requires a TSP dual .660 spring kit and an aftermarket torque converter in the 2600-2800 stall range. Additionally, this camshaft does not retain factory AFM/DOD functionality, so a DOD/AFM delete kit is required. A phaser lockout is also mandatory for correct operation.
