The Colt Cams Stage 2 Camshaft (Re-Grind), part number C.341.S, is engineered for Cummins 5.9L and 6.7L B-series engines, offering improved exhaust flow and fuel economy. This 'torquer' camshaft builds upon the Stage 1 grind with increased exhaust duration and lift, making it suitable for engines with slight restrictions or for those seeking enhanced exhaust performance. Key specifications for this camshaft include an intake duration at 0.050 lift of 175 degrees, an intake cam lift of .251, and a lobe separation of 104 degrees. The exhaust side features a duration at 0.050 lift of 210 degrees and an exhaust cam lift of .307. Valve lash specifications are .010" for intake and .020" for exhaust (cold). Installation notes indicate that while this camshaft is designed as a straight drop-in, an in-engine clearance check before startup is always recommended due to potential variances in engine components. Special attention is advised if using aftermarket connecting rods, as extra clearance on the cam core may be required. Retainer torque should be set to 44 ft lbs with red Loctite. It's important to note that C.R. (cam core) cams can only be ground to Stage 1 and 2; for stages beyond Stage 2, a 24V 2nd core or new cast billet camshaft is necessary. This camshaft is specifically designed for 1994-2016 Dodge RAM Cummins 5.9L and 6.7L engines.
