Stage 2 Competition Supercharger Kit 3.8L

The Whipple Superchargers WK-2625T-STG2-38 W235RF 3.8L Stage 2 Competition Supercharger Kit is engineered for the 2018-2021 Ford Mustang GT 5.0L. This advanced kit utilizes a Gen 5 3.8L Whipple Supercharger, building upon the technology of the 3.0L and offering an improved rotor profile, increased volume, enhanced sealing, and greater efficiency. In testing, the 3.8L unit demonstrated approximately a 6% increase in isentropic efficiency compared to its predecessor. The kit includes the 3.8L head unit, an intercooler and lid setup, a supercharger pulley, and a 6-rib standard belt drive system. Additional components provided are a heat exchanger, cold air intake, a 150mm throttle body, an intercooler reservoir with pump and hoses, and engine lowering brackets, which are required to ensure clearance with the factory hood. All necessary hardware for installation is supplied to complete the supercharger system upgrade. The W235RF 3.8L blower is a significant upgrade, noted for its increased power potential and efficiency over previous larger displacement Whipple units. The new two-piece inlet design facilitates easier access to rear bolts, spark plugs, and other engine components that were previously challenging to reach. While this kit is primarily for the 2018-2021 Mustang GT 5.0L, Whipple has also developed or plans to release 3.8L supercharger kits for other applications including 2007-2014 Shelby GT500s, 2011-2020 5.0L Coyote platforms (including F150), 2020 Shelby GT500s, Hemi 5.7L-6.4L, GM LS and LT models, and GM Big Blocks.
