Stage 2 Drag Clutch & Flywheel Kit

The South Bend Clutch & Flywheel Kit is a Stage 2 Drag configuration clutch system, specifically designed for demanding racing applications. This kit features a heavy-duty pressure plate modified for a puck-style disc with no cushion between the linings, which shortens and quickens pedal travel for rapid engagement. The puck design disc minimizes inertia and accelerates torque transfer to the wheels. The friction material used is a Graphite Impregnated Ceramic compound, known for its durability, reduced chatter, lower heat transfer, and increased torque capacity, making it ideal for drag racing, drifting, and limited street use. This clutch system is engineered to support modified engines at Stage 2 and Stage 2+ power levels. It includes a flywheel and crank bolts, and is SFI approved for safety. South Bend clutches are developed and tested to create balanced systems that complement engine modifications without compromising reliability or drivability. Each system is matched to specific driving styles, uses, and power levels. The Stage 2 Drag configuration is recommended for drag racing, drifting, and limited street applications, providing the rapid engagement needed for peak performance. NOTE: This clutch kit does not fit the 5-speed Quattro TT.
