The Unitronic Stage 2 ECU Performance Engine Tune is a precision-calibrated performance software upgrade designed to maximize output for the 2.5 TFSI EVO engine. It improves power delivery throughout the power band while retaining factory safety limiters, ensuring enhanced responsiveness, smoothness, and driving comfort. Key features include an enabled spark-based motorsports-style rev-limiter, enabled exhaust crackle and overrun, and exhaust flaps that remain open in dynamic and sport modes. Installation requires the use of the Unitronic UniCONNECT+ programming and diagnostic interface, which allows for home-based flashing and diagnostic access. Unitronic recommends using a battery charger during the flashing process to ensure a stable, uninterrupted connection. This performance upgrade requires specific hardware for proper operation, including a Unitronic 2.5 TFSI EVO spark plug set (NGK R7437-9), a 3-inch or 4-inch intake system, a 3-inch or 4-inch turbo inlet elbow, a downpipe with midpipes, and an intercooler. Additionally, the Unitronic Stage 2 TCU Performance Software is mandatory to run this ECU tune. Fitment is limited to the 2017-2019 Audi RS3 and 2018-2021 Audi TTRS with the 2.5 TFSI EVO engine. Performance tuning is licensed to a single vehicle and cannot be transferred.
