The Epic Motorsports ECU Tune is a Stage 2 ECU race tune designed for the E9X M3. It is proven to provide more power and torque for race or track-prepped cars. The tune features an 8,600 RPM rev limit, fuel and timing matched to premium fuel, and a raised top speed limiter.

The Epic Motorsports Stage 2 ECU Race Tune is engineered to maximize power and torque from the S65 engine in the E9X M3. This tune is specifically developed for race or track-prepped vehicles that may not utilize catalytic converters or other emissions equipment. Epic Motorsports, with extensive experience tuning the S65 for racing, offers a tune that has powered BimmerWorld's own M3 race and project cars to significant achievements. The Stage 2 software enhances performance with a +23hp and +27ft-lbs gain, with significantly more power possible when catalytic converters are removed. It features an increased rev limit to 8,600 RPM, optimized fuel and timing maps for premium fuel (though it can also run on 91 octane with slightly reduced gains), and a raised or eliminated top speed limiter. The throttle maps are refined for smoother and faster response. This tuning program is installed via a included D-CAN cable and a Windows laptop (compatible with XP, Win7, Win8, and Win10). Users read and email their stock file to Epic Motorsports, who then return a tuned file. This process bypasses the need for the factory 240E update, simplifying installation. The product is intended for racing vehicles and may not be street legal; BimmerWorld may require proof of racing use.
