Overview

The CarBahn CBG8X-9001 is a Stage 2 ECU software power package designed for BMW G8X M3 and M4 models with automatic transmissions. This package boosts stock horsepower from 591 HP to 754 HP and stock torque from 575 lb-ft to 679 lb-ft when using 100 Octane fuel. The package includes ST2 software, a heat exchanger, and CarBahn high-performance air filters.

The CarBahn 754HP Stage 2 ECU Software Power Package is designed to significantly enhance the performance of compatible BMW G8X M3 and M4 models. This package includes the ST2 ECU software, a required heat exchanger for achieving claimed power outputs, and CarBahn high-performance air filters. The software features intelligent octane adaptations that seamlessly adjust to different fuel octanes for optimized performance and safety, while also removing the top-speed governor. This power package is specifically engineered for BMW M3 Competition, M3 Competition xDrive, M3 CS, M4 Competition, and M4 Competition xDrive models from 2021-2026. It is compatible with vehicles equipped with the S58 engine and automatic transmissions, across G80, G82, and G83 chassis, including Coupe, Sedan, and Convertible body styles, as well as xDrive and RWD drivetrains. Installation of this software package requires a FEMTO DME unlock, meaning the DME(s) must be removed from the vehicle and sent out for unlocking before installation can be completed. The product explicitly states that installation can ONLY be performed by an Authorized CarBahn dealer. While an option to install via Bootmod3 or MHD is mentioned for self-installation, tunes installed this way are not eligible for the CarBahn Factory Matching Warranty Program.
