The Racingline Stage 2 ‘EVO’ Performance Brake Kit is a serious front brake upgrade designed for fast-road driving and the occasional track day. The ‘EVO’ kit provides enhanced thermal capacity, a stiffer caliper for sharper pedal response, and pad compounds developed for road and light track use, resulting in stronger, more progressive, and repeatable braking. The monoblock caliper body is machined from a single piece of aluminum, making it significantly stiffer than two-piece calipers. This superior stiffness translates to better pedal feel and less flex under hard braking, while also reducing overall weight. The full caliper, pad, and bracket assembly weighs 4.4kg per side, compared to the factory Golf 7R kit's 8.6kg. This reduction in unsprung mass improves suspension responsiveness to the road surface, enhancing ride and handling. This kit features 345mm x 30mm single-piece discs with a triple-groove face. The increased diameter and thickness provide greater heat capacity, minimizing brake fade during repeated heavy braking. A key practical benefit is the adoption of the Ferrari F40 pad shape, a widely available size that allows users the freedom to select their preferred brand and compound for replacement. The kit includes a pair of monoblock four-piston brake calipers (available in Red, Black, or Blue), caliper mounting brackets, a full bolt and mounting hardware kit, braided stainless steel brake lines, a sport brake pad set, and a pair of 345mm x 30mm triple-groove discs. It is designed for MQB platform vehicles, including Volkswagen Golf 7, 7.5, and 8 models (GTI, R variants), Audi S3 (8V, 8Y), and SEAT/Cupra equivalents.
