This big brake kit offers a significant reduction in unsprung mass, with the caliper, pads, and bracket assembly weighing 4.4kg compared to the factory Golf 7R kit's 8.6kg. The monoblock construction is stiffer and lighter than OEM calipers, providing a sportscar look and feel for demanding fast road use.

The Racingline Stage 2 'EVO' Monoblock Performance Big Brake Kit represents an advancement in braking technology, building upon their established Stage 2 kit. This kit introduces a redesigned 4-piston lightweight monoblock caliper, paired with 345mm single-piece discs. This design choice results in a caliper that is visually similar to their Stage 3 Brake Kit and accommodates a larger pad size, notably the same as used in a Ferrari F40. A key advantage of this kit is its substantial reduction in unsprung weight. The entire caliper, pad, and bracket assembly weighs approximately 4.4kg (9.7lb), which is nearly half the weight of the factory Golf 7R kit (8.6kg / 18.9lb). The one-piece monoblock caliper construction, typically found in high-specification motorsport applications, offers superior stiffness and lightness compared to OEM calipers. This significant weight saving contributes to improved vehicle dynamics and performance. The 'EVO' kit provides a sportscar-like braking experience suitable for demanding fast road conditions. A notable feature is the adoption of a generic pad size, allowing users to select their preferred brand and compound for future replacements. The kit is designed for direct fitment on a wide range of VW and Audi models, including various Golf, GTI, Jetta, GLI, A3, and TT variants from the mid-2000s to the mid-2010s, as well as newer Audi S3 models.
