Stage 2 F/I Camshafts for Honda/Acura B-Series

The Brian Crower Stage 2 F/I Camshafts (BC0011-2) are engineered for forced induction applications on Honda/Acura B-Series engines, specifically B16A, B17A, and B18C variants. This design helps build cylinder pressure more effectively, preventing the loss of compressed air out the exhaust valve and ensuring more air is trapped for combustion. The high lift specifications further enhance airflow when the turbocharger is spooled, leading to a stronger mid-range pull and improved powerband. These camshafts are not universal and have been dyno-tested on actual turbocharged and supercharged B-Series motors to ensure their performance characteristics are optimized for boosted applications. The cam timing is specifically tuned for engines that experience significant boost levels, promoting sustained power delivery rather than a premature drop-off. Installation requires specific supporting modifications and parts. Crucially, these camshafts require upgraded valve springs and retainers; using stock valve springs is strongly discouraged as they cannot handle the increased lift and cylinder pressures, risking motor damage. Brian Crower offers valve spring kits (BC0010 or BC0010S) designed to complement these camshafts. Additionally, after installation, a professional dyno tune is mandatory to adjust the ECU mapping for the altered cam timing and to ensure optimal performance, proper air-fuel ratios, and prevent potential engine damage under boost. These camshafts fit the following engine applications: 1992-1993 Acura Integra GS-R (B17A1), 1994-2001 Acura Integra GS-R (B18C1), 1997-2001 Acura Integra Type R (B18C5), 1999-2000 Honda Civic Si (B16A2), 1994-1997 Honda Del Sol VTEC (B16A3), and all other B16A, B17A, B18C engines used in turbocharged or supercharged applications.
