The IAG Performance Stage 2 FA20 DIT Subaru Short Block is a high-performance engine upgrade engineered for the 2015-2021 Subaru WRX. The construction begins with brand new OEM Subaru FA20 engine case halves, which are precisely machined in-house to 86.1mm using a Sunnen SV-30 hone. This meticulous process allows for tighter piston-to-wall clearances, resulting in a quieter running engine. The short block is assembled with a new 2015-20 Subaru 2.0L WRX crankshaft paired with King main bearings. It features IAG-Spec H-Beam connecting rods equipped with ARP2000 rod bolts and either ACL or King XPG rod bearings. The assembly is completed with IAG-Spec 86.1mm forged pistons and standard Subaru case bolts and sealant. With a standard gasket thickness, it achieves a compression ratio of 10.6:1.
