Stage 2 FA20 DIT 86.1mm Short Block

The IAG Stage 2 FA20 DIT Subaru Short Block is engineered to provide a stronger bottom end for stock or modified Subaru WRXs, enabling support for increased cylinder pressures from higher boost levels. This performance short block utilizes IAG-Spec H-Beam forged connecting rods with ARP2000 rod bolts and ACL or King XPG race bearings, which are capable of handling greater engine loads than the factory components. Construction begins with brand new OEM Subaru FA20 DIT engine case halves, bored and honed to 86.1mm using an in-house Sunnen SV-30 hone for precise piston-to-wall clearances, resulting in a quieter engine. A new Subaru FA20 DIT WRX crankshaft is carefully measured and paired with King XPG main bearings. The case halves are sealed with new OEM main case bolts and sealant. The assembly is completed with IAG-Spec 86.1mm forged pistons, a ring set, .150" x 2.250" Chromoly wrist pins, and an OEM oil plug pre-installed at the oil pan location. This short block offers a 10.6:1 compression ratio with standard gasket thickness and is designed to significantly increase power output and improve reliability over the OEM engine. It is specifically designed for the 2015-2021 Subaru WRX models.
