Stage 2 Front Kit

The Midwest Chassis Stage 2 Front Kit is engineered for 1993-2002 F-Body vehicles, offering a comprehensive solution to lighten the front end and enhance performance. The K-member features specific downpipe clearance: 5” on the passenger side and 3” on the driver side when using the factory power rack, or 4” if converted to a manual rack. A turbo version is available for those retaining factory air conditioning, allowing a 4” downpipe on the driver side. The K-member is standard in mild steel but can be upgraded to chromoly upon request, though chromoly is not recommended for street use due to its brittle nature. Lower A-arms are available in three styles. The one-piece arm is a direct factory replacement with options for bearing or factory T-bar shock mounting. The two-piece arm is performance-oriented, utilizing the factory spindle, and requires the K-member to be built with hole mounts for precise alignment. Note that the two-piece arm is compatible only with wheels 6” wide or less. A manual rack conversion kit is also offered, which includes everything needed to switch from power to manual steering and is integrated into the K-member at the time of purchase to eliminate additional bracketry. Installation of the MWC bumpsteer kit is facilitated by tapered spindle adaptors, negating the need for large 5/8” holes. This kit includes the rack, steering shaft, and bumpsteer kit, requiring no welding or modifications to the steering rack. It is important to note that stage kits are built to order and are non-stocking items. If using T-bar mount KYB shocks, minor clearance modifications to the T-bar mount bracket on the one-piece lower arms will be necessary. Red powder coating may result in longer lead times.
