The AIRTEC Motorsport Stage 2 Intercooler Upgrade is engineered as a direct replacement for the OEM intercooler in the Mini Cooper S R56, offering enhanced performance for track and fast road applications. To combat heat soak and maintain optimal power output during demanding driving conditions, this upgrade provides a larger, more efficient intercooler solution. This intercooler utilizes a stepped core design, transitioning from 80mm to 40mm, which significantly increases its overall capacity and frontal area compared to the stock unit. This design maximizes airflow potential and cooling efficiency. It also features high-flow, one-piece cast end tanks with an internal air diverter for precise and effective air distribution. The unit measures 699mm in width and 210mm in height, with a core depth ranging from 90mm to 40mm, and a capacity of 7.2 liters. Fitting instructions and all required hardware are supplied with the intercooler. It is available in a Pro-Series satin black finish, with various AIRTEC logo options available. The AIRTEC Motorsport Stage 2 Intercooler Upgrade is backed by a 3-year unlimited mileage warranty and has been proven to increase power on both road and track use.
