Stage 2 Fuel Injector Set

The Dynomite Diesel Products DDP8993-2 is a set of Stage 2 fuel injectors, recognized as a benchmark in 12-valve performance, suitable for international competitions and enhancing everyday driving. These injectors are designed to add approximately 75-100 horsepower to your 1989-1993 Dodge Ram 5.9L Cummins engine, supporting up to 350 RWHP when used with supporting modifications. They feature SAC style nozzles with patented Pilot Hole Technology, which includes two pilots at 0.005 inches, and a 5-hole design. This technology allows for gradual fuel delivery, aiding spool time without excessive smoke. The set includes 6 new, balanced, and matched injectors with 1.5MM copper washers and copper sealing washers for the cylinder head and fuel return line. A prying nut is also included to assist with injector removal. A crucial note for optimal performance is that the VE Rotary injection pump should have an upgraded fuel pin installed; otherwise, little to no gain will be seen from the injector upgrade. The recommended Dynomite Diesel part number for the upgraded fuel pin is DDPPIN. These injectors offer great smoke control, with smoke and EGTs only slightly higher than stock, and are noted to provide typical gains of 1-2 MPG. They are suitable for both stock and modified trucks. A pyrometer is recommended for monitoring. For non-intercooled engines, which typically have a 9mm injector nozzle bore, these injectors come with a 7mm nozzle and a standard 1.5mm copper washer. Dynomite Diesel has found that this standard washer, rather than an adapter sleeve, provides a cleaner burn and improved fuel economy and power output by positioning the nozzle tip closer to the piston. An adapter sleeve (Cummins PN: 3919358) is available if preferred, but not recommended by Dynomite.
