Stage 2 High Flow Intake Bundle Kit

The Wehrli Custom Fab Stage 2 High Flow Intake Bundle Kit is designed to enhance the performance of 2017-2019 L5P Duramax equipped Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500/3500 trucks. This comprehensive package integrates the Stage 1 High Flow Bundle and Stage 2 Intake Kit, aiming to boost airflow to the turbo and engine for improved efficiency, quicker throttle response, and faster turbo spool-up. It specifically targets and eliminates known weak points in the factory design that can lead to power loss, boost leaks, and potential failures, especially in demanding applications. The intake side of the kit features a high-flow fabricated intake pipe, intake horn, and air box enclosure with a dry filter assembly, replacing the stock plastic components on 2017-2019 L5P Duramax Diesel trucks. Constructed from 14-gauge aluminum with smooth, aerodynamic 4-inch diameter piping and a 10G aluminum sheet air box, it significantly increases airflow to the turbo, leading to gains in horsepower and torque, as well as cooler intake temperatures by utilizing the hood's ram air duct. The intake horn is over an inch larger than OEM, and a 25HP gain was observed with the 4-inch turbo inlet when paired with a Max Effort Tune. A removable air box lid allows for simple filter maintenance, and a hydrophobic pre-filter cover helps protect the MAF sensor, turbo, and engine airways. The air duct seal is relocated to the bottom of the hood for a cleaner appearance. Post-turbo, the Stage 2 kit replaces the restrictive, 2-piece, 2.5-inch diameter driver-side (Hot) intercooler pipe and the leak-prone, 2-piece plastic/rubber passenger-side (Cold) intercooler pipe. It introduces WCFab's heavy-duty, 1-piece 3-inch diameter driver-side and 3.5-inch diameter passenger-side L5P Intercooler Pipes. Manufactured in the USA from high-strength 14-gauge aluminum tubing with mandrel bends, these pipes optimize flow and durability. The 3-inch driver-side pipe removes the OEM resonator and middle boot joint for better flow and resilience, incorporating reinforced silicone boots and stainless steel t-bolt clamps for high-temperature resistance and boost pressure holding. The 3.5-inch passenger-side pipe features a CNC-machined flange with a double O-ring seal and an upgraded silicone boot, engineered to withstand higher boost pressures than factory components, enhancing reliability and preventing blown boots and boost leaks. The complete assembly is finished in a choice of WCFab's custom powder coat colors. Installation requires basic hand tools, and the kit is compatible with stock trucks, requiring no tuning for bolt-on installation. Savings of $60 are realized compared to purchasing components individually. This kit pairs best with emissions-compliant tuning and larger drop-in turbochargers.
