The Texas Speed Stage 2 High Lift Truck Camshaft serves as an efficient performance upgrade for 4.8L, 5.3L, 5.7L, and 6.0L GM truck engines. By utilizing specific lobe profiles, this cam provides a noticeable power increase while maintaining street-friendly drivability. It is a preferred choice for builders who want a stealthy performance profile that mimics stock behavior at idle, making it well-suited for daily-driven trucks. Technical specifications include a 212/218 duration and .600/.600 lift with a 112 LSA, operating effectively within a 1200-5800 RPM power band. This camshaft features a 3-bolt timing gear pattern and requires a compression ratio of 9.5:1 or higher. To ensure proper valvetrain longevity, the use of Pac 1219 or TSP/PAC dual valve springs is mandatory. Installation of this camshaft does not require an aftermarket stall converter or upgraded rear gears, allowing for a more cost-effective upgrade path. Proper ECU tuning is essential after installation to achieve the stated drivability and power performance. This component is not legal for sale or use in the state of California.
