The Engine Pro Performance Camshaft MC1730 is a hydraulic camshaft engineered to deliver enhanced performance for street or strip applications. It features a Stage 2 profile, offering a .050 duration of 204 degrees intake and 214 degrees exhaust, with a valve lift of .420 inches intake and .433 inches exhaust. The lobe separation is set at 107 degrees intake and 117 degrees exhaust. This camshaft is designed for optimal performance in Chevrolet Small Block V8 engines from 1955-1995 with displacements ranging from 327 to 400 cubic inches. It provides strong torque and good mileage, ideal for engines operating within the 1500-4000 RPM range, and is noted to perform well with high axle ratios. The idle quality is smooth. Constructed with 100% American-made castings and billets, the MC1730 camshaft boasts superior manufacturing accuracy and controlled ramp lobe profiles for improved valve train stability and extended component life. It is manganese phosphate coated, with flame-hardened castings or induction-hardened billets. The lobe profiles are computer-designed for maximum power and Adcole verified for accuracy, with journal roundness maintained to within .0002 inches.
