The AIRTEC Motorsport Stage 2 intercooler is an upgrade designed for the Ford Focus ST Mk2, suitable for vehicles producing 250-350bhp. It features a high-flow 60mm core that is twice as high and nearly 100mm longer than the standard item, providing a massive increase in capacity. This intercooler offers a 127% increase in frontal area for improved airflow and utilizes an air ram scoop to force cold air through the core, ensuring cooler charge temperatures and more efficient air flow. It is a direct bolt-on upgrade with no extra parts required, connecting to standard size boost hoses and including all necessary fixtures and fittings.

The AIRTEC Motorsport Stage 2 intercooler upgrade is specifically engineered for the Ford Focus ST Mk2, targeting vehicles with power outputs between 250 and 350bhp. It achieves this through an improved Generation 3 design incorporating an air ram scoop that forces cold air through a significantly larger core. The core measures 60mm, is twice as high and almost 100mm longer than the original, offering a substantial increase in overall capacity and a 127% greater frontal area. Coupled with high-flow end tanks and an air diverter scoop for optimal flow direction, this intercooler provides greater efficiency and volume over the standard unit. It connects to the standard boost hoses and comes complete with all necessary fixtures and fittings. The unit itself features a huge high-flow 60mm core, an air scoop to direct flow, smooth-flowing end tanks, and AIRTEC logo brackets. It is backed by a 3-year warranty and is available in two finishes: Natural Silver and Pro-Series Black. Dyno testing by Torque of the Devil Rolling Road on January 31, 2009, showed a notable improvement. The standard intercooler recorded 275bhp and 350 lb ft of torque with an outlet temperature of 66 degrees. In contrast, the AIRTEC Motorsport Gen-3 intercooler achieved 296.4bhp and 390 lb ft of torque, with a significantly lower outlet temperature of 30 degrees.
