The Whipple Superchargers Gen 6 3.0L Stage 2 system is a comprehensive supercharger package engineered specifically for the 2018-2021 Ford Mustang GT 5.0L. At its core is the Gen 6 W185ax 3.0L twin-screw supercharger, which offers improved efficiency and reliability over smaller roots-style systems. This design moves more air with less effort, reducing discharge temperatures and parasitic loss. The kit boasts significant airflow potential through its billet 132mm Roval throttle body and expansive 150mm Crusher™ inlet. Fuel delivery is handled by billet fuel rails, 55LB/HR fuel injectors, and an upgraded DW400 fuel pump. Cooling performance is optimized with a patented dual-pass, dual-core intercooler featuring an oversized aluminum bar-plate core, an industry-leading heat exchanger, water reservoir, and intercooler pump. This setup ensures effective control of air charge temperatures under demanding conditions, maintaining repeatable performance. The system also includes a self-contained, oversized oil system for durability. For tuning, the kit provides an HP Tuners MPVI4 flash tool with Whipple calibration support. Whipple's instructions specify that calibrations should be requested before installation and are intended for stock-engine combinations only. The kit is 50-state legal, CARB EO D-231-69 certified, and requires no cutting or engine modifications for installation, resulting in a factory-installed appearance.
