The Texas Speed & Performance TSP Stage 2 Low Lift Truck Camshaft is engineered for 1999-2013 GM Gen 3/4 LS-Based Truck Engines, including 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L, and 6.2L displacements. With specifications of 212 degrees of intake duration and 218 degrees of exhaust duration, both at .050 lift, and a 112-degree LSA, this camshaft offers a noticeable idle lope while maintaining smooth drivability. Designed to be a cost-effective performance enhancement, this camshaft leverages proprietary TSP lobe profiles that are compatible with factory GM LS6 single beehive valve springs. This compatibility reduces the need for more expensive valvetrain components, making it an economical choice. The mild spring pressures required also contribute to reduced wear on valvetrain parts, promoting longevity for daily driven vehicles that accumulate significant mileage. On TSP's in-house SuperFlow 902 engine dyno, the Stage 2 Low Lift camshaft delivered an impressive gain of 51 horsepower at the flywheel on a stock 5.3L engine. Similar significant gains can be expected on 4.8L, 6.0L, and 6.2L engines. This camshaft provides a substantial performance upgrade while retaining a stealthy operation that can be relatively quiet with certain exhaust systems. Installation considerations include the need for a DOD/AFM delete kit on equipped engines and a VVT delete kit for VVT engines. A 3-bolt conversion kit is required if installing in an engine originally equipped with a 1-bolt camshaft. For 6.2L engines and 2007-later rectangle port 6.0L engines, due to their heavier valve weight, a dual valve spring kit or PAC 1218 (or similar) springs are recommended. This camshaft is compatible with factory torque converters.
