Stage 2 Performance Camshafts

The ZZP LNF Stage 2 Performance Cams are engineered to significantly enhance the performance of LNF-powered vehicles. These cams boast improved intake duration (224 degrees) and exhaust duration (218 degrees), with increased lift (.438" intake, .420" exhaust) over stock specifications. These camshafts were developed to produce substantial power gains, having been used in vehicles achieving over 700whp with a 62mm turbo. A key feature is the "larger fuel pump lobe" which is .050" larger than stock, designed to address flow limitations of the direct injection fuel system. Dyno tests show significant horsepower increases when using E85 fuel, with one test demonstrating a jump from 395 to 474 peak horsepower. This improvement is attributed to maintaining optimal fuel pressure throughout the pull, leading to better combustion and power output. Installation requires a knowledgeable mechanic due to the complexity of overhead cam engines and timing. Failure to set timing correctly can lead to severe engine damage. Users should be aware of potential codes like P0014 or P0017, which may indicate timing issues or phaser problems. The stock TTY camshaft bolts must be replaced with upgraded, reusable bolts, and new valve springs and retainers are required. It is also recommended to remove or replace balance shafts and consider upgrading to an ATI balancer if engine speeds exceed 7,000 RPM. Important compatibility note: These cams are for LNF heads. If your vehicle has an LDK head, you will need the LHU version instead, as the exhaust cam is longer for that application.
