The ECS Tuning B8 2.0T Stage 2 Performance Clutch Kit is designed for Audi B8/B8.5 A4/A5 2.0T models looking to upgrade their clutch to handle increased power from tunes near Stage 2 levels. This kit reliably holds 400 ft-lbs of crank torque, offering a solution to prevent the factory clutch from failing under increased power. It aims to provide a balance between performance and ease of daily drivability. The clutch disc features a 240mm full-face design with high-performance organic friction material and integrated copper for enhanced heat dissipation and longevity. It includes an OE-like marcel design with a sprung hub to reduce gear noise and driveline chatter. The pressure plate offers increased clamp force, rated at 2,300 lbs, and is non-adjustable, eliminating potential issues with the factory self-adjusting mechanism that can cause pedal engagement problems at higher RPMs. The included lightweight flywheel is constructed from Billet Chromoly 4140 steel and 6061-T6 aluminum, weighing only 17.8 lbs (8.7 lbs lighter than stock) for superior strength, durability, and faster revving. It is heat-treated for wear resistance, black zinc plated for corrosion resistance, and SFI 1.1 tested and certified. The kit comes complete with all necessary hardware, including flywheel bolts, pressure plate bolts, a pilot bearing, a throwout bearing, and an Audi-specific clutch alignment tool. Recommended break-in for this clutch kit is 500-1,000 miles of light throttle city driving, staying under 4,500 RPM, with efforts to shift through gears frequently to ensure even break-in. Avoid over-slipping the clutch, prolonged bumper-to-bumper traffic, hard launches, or quick shifting until after the initial break-in period. This kit is specifically designed for the Audi B8 A4 (FWD and Quattro) and B8 A5 Quattro with the 2.0T engine.
