The RacingLine Stage 3 Forged Monoblock Big Brake Kit represents a significant upgrade in braking technology, engineered for uncompromising stopping performance on the track and road. This kit utilizes a stunning one-piece forged monoblock 6-piston caliper design, manufactured using advanced 5-axis CNC machining. This advanced construction method, typically reserved for high-level motorsport components, results in a caliper that is exceptionally stiff, lightweight, and offers superior cooling characteristics. This Stage 3 kit features 380mm fully-floating, two-piece rotors with a unique triple-grove pattern. These rotors provide vastly greater heat capacity to combat brake fade. The high-cast carbon steel rotor material offers a higher friction coefficient compared to standard steel. The floating mount design allows for thermal expansion, preventing cracks, while anti-rattle mounts ensure quiet operation. The 380mm rotor option requires a minimum of 19-inch wheels for clearance. Engineered exclusively for VWG (Volkswagen Group) vehicles, RacingLine has meticulously defined piston sizes to perfectly match the master cylinders and servos of these cars, ensuring beautiful, progressive pedal response. Despite their substantial size, the calipers, pads, and bracket assembly together weigh significantly less than stock components, with the kit weighing 11.7lb (5.3kg) compared to the stock Golf 7R/S3 equivalent's 18.9lb (8.6kg). Included with the kit are Composite Ceramic Fast-Road Pads, offering a versatile compound suitable for spirited driving. The generic pad size allows for a wide selection of aftermarket pad brands and compounds should you require a different specification for hard track use. The kit is a complete bolt-on solution, providing everything needed for installation: rotors, calipers, mounting brackets, fast-road pads, and braided steel lines.
