The Texas Speed Stage 3 Boost camshaft is a high-performance valvetrain component engineered for 2009+ Gen III Hemi engines. It utilizes custom lobes optimized for compatibility with both beehive and double valve springs, providing a smooth idle in 345cid motors while preparing the engine for increased performance. Technically, this camshaft features a duration of 223/232, a valve lift of 0.582 inches on both intake and exhaust, and a 115+3 degree lobe separation angle. It is specifically balanced for street and strip use, making it a suitable choice for those looking to advance their Hemi's output. Installation requires specific supporting components to ensure proper operation. This camshaft necessitates the use of an MDS delete kit, a VVT lockout, and aftermarket valve springs (specifically TSP Hemi .650 lift springs or equivalent). Failure to include these components during installation may result in engine damage or improper performance. Professional installation and custom tuning are highly recommended to ensure the engine management system is correctly calibrated for the new camshaft profile.
