The Action Clutch Stage 3 Clutch Kit (1MS) is engineered for the 1999-2000 Honda Civic SI (B16A2 engine). This kit utilizes a high-performance MIBA Sprung Ceramic Disc, known for its durability. It includes a single diaphragm, heavy-duty pressure plate with reinforced drive straps for enhanced longevity. The disc is available in either a 4-puck or 6-puck MIBA Ceramic configuration, with the 4-puck option providing more aggressive engagement. It facilitates quick engagement and may produce some clutch chatter, which is expected to minimize after the proper break-in period. Action Clutch incorporates fully enclosed spring retainers to prevent catastrophic damage from springs popping out, a common issue with competing products. The clutch covers feature a ductile iron friction plate and a 4-stage, heat-treated diaphragm spring. This kit has an estimated torque holding capacity of 385 ft-lbs. Proper break-in is crucial for this clutch kit to ensure warranty coverage, longevity, and optimal holding capacity. This involves 500 street miles, keeping RPMs under 4500, using no more than half throttle, and avoiding boost if applicable. The kit includes the Stage 3 Clutch Disc, a Single Diaphragm HD Pressure Plate, a Release Bearing, a Pilot Bearing/Bushing (when applicable), and a Clutch Alignment Tool.
