The ClutchMax Stage 3 Clutch Kit with Performance Solid Flywheel conversion set offers a significant upgrade for compatible Audi A4 and Volkswagen Passat models. The kit includes a solid chromoly flywheel constructed from 4140 Chromoly forged steel, which is CNC machined and dynamically computer balanced to 15,000 RPM. This design replaces the heavy and inconsistent factory dual-mass flywheel, providing a vastly improved feel and performance. The pressure plate is made from ductile/nodular cast iron for maximum strength and wear resistance, while the diaphragm springs are crafted from 51CrV4 steel, undergoing a multi-stage heat-treating process for durability. The Stage 3 disc utilizes sintered copper ceramic pads with a chromoly sprung hub, engineered for ultimate holding power and extended life. This clutch system is capable of handling up to 422 HP and 379 lb-ft of torque. This complete bundle set includes the performance lightweight solid chromoly flywheel, a performance HD pressure plate, a performance HD stage 3 ceramic 6-puck sprung disc, release bearing, flywheel mounting bolts, a clutch alignment tool, and a clutch installation guide. A recommended break-in period of 500 miles is advised. Specifically, this clutch kit fits 1997-2005 Audi A4 and A4 Quattro models with the 1.8L DOHC 4-cylinder turbo engine (B5/B6 chassis) and 1998-2005 Volkswagen Passat models with the 1.8L DOHC 4-cylinder turbo engine (B5/B6 chassis).
