Stage 3 Extreme 2.0L FA Short Block 86.25mm Bore

The IAG Stage 3 Extreme short block is a performance-enhanced Subaru FA 2.0L engine designed for increased durability and power handling. It begins with brand new Subaru OEM case halves that are precision machined to accept IAG's proprietary closed deck inserts, creating a solid deck block that significantly reduces the risk of head gasket failure under high cylinder pressure. The machining process also includes O-ring receiver grooves and drilling for 1/2" head studs, further reinforcing the block's integrity. IAG's in-house CNC honing process, utilizing a Sunnen SV-30, machines the block to 86.25mm, allowing for tighter piston-to-wall clearances that contribute to a quieter running engine. This meticulously assembled short block utilizes a new 2015-18 Subaru FA20 DIT WRX crankshaft matched with King XPG main bearings. Forged Manley I-Beam connecting rods are equipped with ARP2000 rod bolts and paired with King or ACL rod bearings. The case is sealed with new OEM case bolts and sealant, and the assembly is completed with IAG-Spec 86.25mm forged pistons and an OEM oil plug. All IAG short blocks are balanced and blueprinted for optimal performance and reliability. Key components include: Case Halves converted to Closed Deck, O-Ringing of the deck surface, and machine work for 1/2" head studs (head studs are required and sold separately). It also features IAG-Spec 86.25mm forged pistons with Chromoly wrist pins, Manley I-Beam connecting rods with ARP2000 bolts, ACL or King XPG rod bearings, King XPG main bearings, a new Subaru FA20 DIT WRX crankshaft, standard Subaru case bolts, and an OEM oil plug. The compression ratio is 10.0:1 (0.6 lower than stock) with standard gasket thickness. The IAG Stage 3 Extreme Short Block has a power output rating of 800BHP.
