The Texas Speed Stage 3 High Lift Truck Camshaft is engineered to enhance the performance of LS-based engines, specifically targeting 4.8L, 5.3L, 5.7L, and 6.0L displacements. This camshaft boasts a 216 intake duration and 220 exhaust duration, with both intake and exhaust valves opening to a lift of .600 inches, all on a 114 LSA (Lobe Separation Angle). It is designed to work with any single or dual valve spring kit that can support at least .600 inches of valve lift, utilizing proprietary TSP lobe profiles for optimal valvetrain stability and longevity while maintaining a quiet operation. This camshaft is designed for a broad power band, operating effectively from 1400 to 6500 RPM. Texas Speed reports gains of 67.1 horsepower and 26.8 ft-lbs of torque at the flywheel when tested on an otherwise stock 5.3L engine using their SuperFlow 902 engine dyno. It is recommended for use with engines having a compression ratio of 9.5:1 or higher and requires PAC 1219 or TSP/PAC .660 Dual Valve Springs. While an aftermarket stall converter is not strictly required, a 3000+ stall converter is recommended to achieve maximum performance potential. Despite its performance focus, this camshaft offers great drivability and is suitable for daily driving, with a slight lope at idle. No upgraded rear gears are required for installation.
