Stage 4 Ceramic Sprung Clutch Kit

The Competition Clutch Stage 4 Ceramic Sprung Clutch is engineered for drivers who have moved beyond stock performance and are pushing their vehicles with forced induction or nitrous setups. This Stage 4 clutch provides a firm and direct engagement, enhanced by a sprung hub for improved drivability compared to unsprung discs. This clutch kit offers a substantial upgrade, with Competition Clutch rating it at approximately 250% over stock torque capacity. It features a larger 250mm pressure plate and disc, compared to the OEM 230mm size, which results in increased grip and more consistent holding power, especially in higher gears. The kit includes all necessary components for a complete swap: a performance pressure plate, the six-puck sprung ceramic disc, a throwout bearing, a pilot bearing or bushing, and an alignment tool. It is recommended to follow a break-in procedure of 300-500 miles with light to moderate throttle and frequent shifting, avoiding full-throttle launches and high-RPM clutch dumps to ensure optimal performance, stability, and longevity. This clutch is specifically designed to fit K20A and K20Z engines found in the 2002–2006 Acura RSX (Base & Type-S) and the 2002–2011 Honda Civic Si (Si & Type R) models.
