The Texas Speed & Performance Stage 4 F-35 LS3 N/A camshaft is an all-out performance upgrade developed on a Superflow 902 engine dyno to provide substantial power gains while maintaining adequate piston-to-valve clearance on stock short-block configurations. It is specifically designed for use in GM LS2, L76, and LS3 engines running L92/LS3 rectangular port cylinder heads. Key technical requirements for this camshaft include a minimum compression ratio of 10.5:1 and the use of TSP/PAC .660 dual valve springs. For automatic-equipped vehicles, a minimum stall converter speed of 3,600 RPM is required for acceptable streetability, though 4,000+ RPM is recommended for track use. A minimum rear gear ratio of 3.42 is also optimal for performance, and proper professional tuning is required for drivability. Installation requires consideration of the camshaft design; while this is a single-bolt design, it can be converted to a three-bolt setup. If converting, a three-bolt conversion kit is required to supply the correct 4x upper timing gear for the camshaft position signal, along with an ARP camshaft bolt kit. Due to its aggressive profile, this cam is designed primarily for weekend warrior and street/strip applications rather than daily commuting.
