This camshaft is best suited for 4.8, 5.3, 5.7, and 6.0 liter engines, requiring a 9.5:1+ compression ratio.

The Texas Speed & Performance Stage 4 High Lift Truck Camshaft (SKU #TSP-223226R6111) is engineered for enthusiasts seeking significant performance gains in their 4.8, 5.3, 5.7, or 6.0 liter engines. This camshaft features a 223/226 duration with .600/.600 lift and a 111 LSA, providing an aggressive, lopey idle that announces its presence. For 4.8L and 5.3L engines, this camshaft excels at delivering impressive mid to top-end power while producing a noticeable, head-turning choppy idle. For 5.7L and 6.0L applications, it offers substantial torque gains and excellent midrange power, all while maintaining great drivability. A minimum compression ratio of 9.5:1 is desired for optimal performance. The recommended operating RPM range for this cam is 1500-6500 RPM. Installation of the TSP Stage 4 High Lift Truck Camshaft necessitates specific supporting modifications. An aftermarket stall converter with a 3000+ RPM rating is required for automatic transmissions. Additionally, Pac 1219 or TSP/PAC Dual .660 valve springs are recommended to ensure proper valve operation and longevity. While upgraded rear gears are not required, proper computer tuning is essential for realizing the full performance potential and maintaining smooth drivability, allowing it to be easily used as a daily driver.
