The Texas Speed TSP Stage 4 Low Lift Truck Camshaft is a performance camshaft for 1999-2013 GM Gen 3/4 LS-Based Vortec Engines, specifically the 4.8L, 5.3L, 5.7L, and 6.0L variants. This camshaft boasts a 222/226 duration with .550/.550 lift and a 111 LSA, featuring a 3-bolt timing gear pattern. It utilizes proprietary TSP lobe profiles designed to work with factory GM LS6 single beehive valve springs, making it an affordable upgrade. These lobes and the mild spring pressures required also contribute to reduced valvetrain wear, enhancing reliability for daily driven vehicles. For 4.8L/5.3L applications, expect enhanced mid to top-end power and a distinct, head-turning choppy idle. For 5.7L/6.0L applications, the camshaft delivers impressive torque with strong midrange power and a noticeable idle, while maintaining good driveability. An aftermarket stall converter of 3000+ RPM is recommended for automatic transmissions. The ideal operating RPM range is 1500-6500 RPM. Note that DOD/AFM equipped engines will require a DOD/AFM delete, and VVT engines will need a VVT delete kit. If installing in an engine originally equipped with a 1-bolt camshaft, a 3-bolt conversion kit is necessary. For 6.2L engines and 2007-later rectangle port 6.0L engines, due to their heavier valve weight, a dual valve spring kit or PAC 1218 (or similar) springs are recommended.
