Stage 4 Turbo Camshaft for 4.8L 5.3L

The Texas Speed Stage 4 Turbo Camshaft is a performance camshaft designed for 4.8L and 5.3L GM engines running single or twin-turbo systems. This camshaft retains good drivability for street/strip use while providing a distinct choppy idle note. Technically, the camshaft features a 222/230 duration, 0.600 inch intake/exhaust lift, and a 113+3 lobe separation. It utilizes a 3-bolt gear attachment and is optimized for engines with a compression ratio of 9.5:1 or higher. The operating RPM range is 1600-6500, ensuring broad power delivery across your turbo engine's curve. Proper installation requires specific valvetrain support. TSP/PAC dual 0.660 valve springs are mandatory for reliability and safety, and PAC 1219 springs are also compatible. The use of chromoly hardened pushrods is recommended. Note that custom tuning is required with any camshaft installation to ensure safe and proper engine operation. This camshaft does not require an aftermarket stall converter or upgraded rear gears, allowing for integration with many existing vehicle drivetrain configurations. It is compatible with both stock-based turbo setups and heavily modified forged internal engines.
