Stage II Turbo Upgrade

The RENNtech Stage II Turbo Upgrade is designed to significantly enhance the performance of the Mercedes GT C, specifically for models equipped with the 4.0L V8 BiTurbo M178 engine from MY2018 onwards. This comprehensive kit includes a Turbo Upgrade, ECU Upgrade, and TCU upgrade, promising substantial power gains. At its core, the upgrade utilizes RENNtech's lightweight forged billet turbo wheels, featuring a dramatically larger impeller on the inlet side and an increased turbine trim on the exhaust side. The supporting cartridge shaft is also reinforced to handle the increased load and power. The entire cartridge assembly is meticulously fine-balanced to ensure smooth operation. Precision CNC machining and in-house flow testing of the impeller and turbine housings ensure perfect integration with the larger internal cartridge. The result is a remarkable increase in performance, with gains of up to +186 HP and +111 LB-FT at the crank, bringing the total output to an impressive 761 HP and 632 LB-FT. Beyond peak numbers, the RENNtech turbos offer quicker spooling, a more responsive throttle, and immediate power delivery due to reduced exhaust back pressure, lower rolling resistance, higher RPM capability, and a lighter rotating mass. For optimal performance and reliability, RENNtech strongly recommends the accompanying RENNtech Transmission Control Unit (TCU) upgrade for the 7-speed AMG Speedshift Dual Clutch transmission. Additionally, reaching the maximum power level requires RENNtech downpipes, BOV adapters, and high-flow air filters. A minimum of 93+ Octane gasoline is mandatory for this performance package.
