Stage III Turbocharger System for VW Golf R / S3 2.0T FSI

The APR Stage III Turbocharger System is engineered to elevate the performance of the VW Golf R and S3 2.0T FSI engines. At its core is a Garrett Honeywell GTX2867R turbocharger, incorporating advanced technologies like a ten-blade billet compressor wheel and a dual ball bearing, oil and water-cooled CHRA. APR's engineers meticulously selected and tested turbine inlet and A/R sizes to minimize turbocharger lag while maximizing peak power output. The compressor housing includes anti-surge porting for rapid spool and substantial torque delivery even at lower RPMs. Integral to the system is APR's investment-cast, super alloy Inconel 625 Exhaust Manifold, designed for extreme heat resistance and durability, typically found in professional motorsports. This manifold features Sequential Exhaust Pulse runner lengths and heat retention properties to enhance turbo response and torque delivery. It is investment-cast in the USA and CNC machined by APR. The system also includes wire-reinforced, multi-ply silicone hoses for unrestricted airflow, a cast enlarged turbo outlet pipe, and a significantly larger Mass Airflow (MAF) housing with a honeycomb airflow straightener to ensure accurate airflow readings and recalibration of the ECU. APR's low-pressure and high-pressure fuel pump components, along with a new high-pressure fuel rail valve, are included to support the increased fueling demands. The APR Stage III system also incorporates APR's EMCS program switching technology, allowing for selectable performance modes tailored to different fuel octanes and driving conditions. This system requires several components to be purchased separately for proper operation. These include the APR High Pressure Fuel Pump, APR Carbonio Intake, APR Intercooler System, and potentially an APR Midpipe depending on existing exhaust components. For optimal results, APR recommends the APR RSC Catback Exhaust System.
