The ZZPerformance ZZP 1.4L Sonic Stainless Catback Exhaust is a cat-back exhaust system designed for 2012-current models. Constructed from 100% stainless steel, it features 2.5-inch mandrel-bent piping and a 3.5-inch chrome rolled tip.

This cat-back system includes the secondary catalytic converter section, offering a complete exhaust upgrade from the catalytic converter back. It features 2.5-inch mandrel-bent piping for optimal flow and a 3.5-inch chrome rolled tip for a stylish finish. For those seeking maximum performance gains, ZZPerformance recommends pairing this catback with their "race o2 housing" and "midpipe package" to create a full turbo-back exhaust system. When ordering, customers must select the correct "Model Option" based on their Sonic's body style: Sedan, Hatchback (not RS), or Hatchback RS. The "RS" models require a specific tip, and ZZPerformance currently does not offer an "RS" model for the Sedan. Additionally, customers can choose between "Add Muffler" (which includes a ZZP stainless muffler and tip) or a "Muffler Delete" variant (a straight pipe in place of the muffler). ZZPerformance highly recommends the muffler option for the 1.4L turbo Sonic, as the turbo itself helps mellow the exhaust tone without the need for a factory resonator. Please note that while the high-flow catalytic converters are EPA certified, they do not meet CARB compliance standards.
